At the 2015 Greenbuild Expo, Salvatore Pennachio, customer service manager for Niagara Conservation, discussed the benefits of the Stealth toilet that functions on 0.8 gallons per flush. There’s also a dual flush version that operates at 0.5 and 0.95 gallons per flush.
The single-flush version is activated by simply pressing the flush push button, which clears all waste in the toilet bowl, thus eliminating the need for double flushing or dual flush toilets. The technologically advanced Stealth’s water and sewer utility bill savings go a step beyond standard water-saving toilets, using 37 percent less water per flush than a standard 1.28 gallon high-efficiency toilet (HET). Compared to the average use of older 3.5 GPF toilets, the Stealth can save up to 18,000 gallons of water per year which translates to an average savings of $120 per year on water usage, depending on the water and wastewater rates.
